I LOVE WHAT I DO!
My name is María Pechuk. I was born and raised in Argentina. Moved to the United States in 2001 with my two sons, Nicolas y Tomas. In Argentina, I taught Aerobics and dance to adults and children. I have been assisting in Cape Cod with the Children’s Spanish Immersion Classes and Camps at Language Links for the past decade.
I have been working and teaching kids Spanish in private lessons since 2008.
I am very excited to present my Program to different preschools and institutions at the Cape.
I am very thankful for the trust that parents and family members have given me. Taking care and teaching little ones my culture, music and language is very rewarding and something I really enjoy.
"Maria Pechuk is a wonderful resource to our community. She designed and facilitated a Spanish Parent-and Child together class for The Coalition for Children, and the reviews are outstanding!
The children are like sponges. Those who have never before heard Spanish spoken, pick up the new words easily. To them, it's not a barrier or another language, it's just a new vocabulary and they are thrilled to show off their new knowledge. The youngsters who do speak Spanish are thrilled to be in a group where they are able to speak to the facilitator, and all of the parents are excited to meet new friends and learn - or brush up on - their Spanish. Maria is a Cape Cod treasure."-Tina Toran, The Coalition for Children.
"I have known Maria Alejandra Pechuk for the past eleven years. I am thrilled that she is pursuing HOLA – Spanish for Children! Maria Alejandra has worked with me periodically throughout the past 11 years at Language Links. She has helped with teaching Mommy & Me, Children’s Spanish classes, Adult Conversation, and most recently Spanish Immersion Summer Camps. Alejandra is a warm, creative and energetic woman whose zest for life brings laughter wherever she goes. Your child will be sure to have fun learning Spanish with Alejandra in a safe and caring environment!" -Maria Demeo, Language Links.
"Maria Alexandra has worked with our family for over two years. We could not feel more lucky to have her in our lives, her energy, enthusiasm, love and appreciation for kids is overwhelming. Needless to say, our kids (now 2 and 5) love her and are thrilled to know that they'll be seeing her. Besides being a responsible and energetic care taker of the children, she has quickly and effortlessly taught the kids basic Spanish through games, books, and just having fun in a Spanish speaking environment. In a town where bi-lingual education is scarce, our family feels so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with a native Spanish speaker on a one on one or small group setting. I know that continuing to work with her will instill in my children a life long appreciation of other cultures and languages - and for us, that is priceless. Thank you Maria Alexandra!!! "- La Patricia.
"Maria has taught Spanish to our two children, ages 7 and 11, in an immersion situation for the past year and a half. She is loving, funny, creative and full of ideas and energy. Rather than feeling like they're off to 'school' the kids feel like they're off for a fun time with a favorite auntie and always look forward to it. We highly recommendMaria to any family looking for Spanish language instruction in a fun and loving environment." - Jill Holdren.
"Our family has been blessed to have Maria a part of our lives for over two years. Her energy and love for our children shows every time she is with them. Maria enjoys being active with children whether it be with art projects, trips to the playground, or a program in the community. She is respectful and happy to honor your suggestions, yet she also has her own creative and caring approach with exciting ideas that the kids adore. Through all of this she exposes children to the Spanish language, an added bonus! Maria speaks to our kids in Spanish with some English for clarity, but it amazes me how much they understand. She teaches them through song and hands-on activities, and their interaction with her high-spirited personality is how they absorb so much. She is a caretaker as well as a friend, and we look forward to many more years with her." -Jennifer Foley.
